Dear Friends,

Election 08 is over! I would like to thank everyone who supported me in this election cycle. A special thanks to those who made a contribution to my campaign, put out a yard sign, and/or volunteered your time to help. Whether you voted for me or not, it was encouraging to see so many people get involved in the political process.

I am humbled and honored to be able to return to Lansing to serve you for another two years. However,I don't expect the next two years to be easy ones. We are facing the most serious economic crisis in this country since the great depression of the 1930's. It is going to take collaboration and cooperation on the local, state, and federal level to recover. I promise to do my part by working as hard as I possibly can for you in Lansing. I look forward to working with all of you to find solutions to the difficult challenges that lie ahead.
